Well my husband and I are planning a 3 week vacation back home to the South Pacific. Hawaii, Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora and hopefully Australia if we have enough time… So we have 4 kids, two in High school, one in Middle school, and one in Elementary. Do you think 3 weeks is too long to be away from school? We leave on December 11, and my two in High school are gonna miss final exams! Help!!

I think that’s a bit long because my old elementary school said that if you’re absent for 18 days you get left back. I’m not sure about yours but you should talk to the principle about your 3 week vacation to see if its okay. Good Luck! have a fun vacation!
Yes three weeks to too long. You’re being inconsiderate to your children and their teachers. You are showing your children that you do not value education. Go over summer break.
Actually 3 weeks is OK if you plan to go that far and visit a lot of places and the 3 weeks is within the range of your kids’ school vacations.
But, missing the finals exams? I dont think it is wise.
If possible, rearrange the schedules.
the children have to go to school because if they are absent in 3 weeks, they have to study all their classmate has learnt last 3 weeks. i think it might be hard to your children to do that or if they are hardworking that’s OK.
