    I’m wracking my brain to recall the name of the places we stayed in Papeete and Moorea. Was a big, very nice hotel in Papeete, but bet it is pricey. On Moorea, it was a cluster of small cabins. Nice, comfortable, but a bit tired around the edges.

    I’d highly suggest getting this book as it written by an American journalist who’s lived on the island for several years. It is quite thorough and helpful. We met with her (Jan Prince) while we there … Tahiti & French Polynesia Guide, 4th Ed. (Open Road Travel Guides Tahiti and French Polynesia Guide)
