In which country do people actually live in beach style huts on or near the beach?

I am just curious in which countries throughout the Pacific, Caribbean, South America or Central America where it’s possible to live in a beach hut very close to OR actually live on a tropical style beach. I am not talking of a popular tourist attraction like Fiji or Tahiti where people pay big bucks to vacation in a raised hut but rather I am wanting to know which poor nations you might commonly find small huts built right on or very close to a tropical beach. You sometimes see these in music videos and in movies as well. Thanks.
What about American Samoa?

In Western Samoa they live in open huts called Fale’s. Many hotels there also have fales that you can stay in right on the beach.
