Tahiti and Papeete?

I will be staying 1 night in Le Meridian and 3 nights in Shearaton. Are the hotels nice and what should I be doing there, what order etc?
How is tahiti in genearal?

    It is beautiful and amazing. Stay away from the city center (Papeete) and spend your time at the resorts, mountains and beaches, take a boat tour (mini cruise) and you will have the time of your life.
